Time&Space® - Reporting

People often tell us of the difficulty they have extracting data out of their current system. At one extreme people have to pay to have simplest of reports written, at the other extreme systems have hundreds of reports which users have to wade through only to find that none meet their needs so they end up piecing data together in Excel to make sense of it all.

At Timewatch® we pride ourselves on strong reporting, after all, there is no point getting data into a system if you cannot get it out. With Time&Space® you receive a balance, a sensible mix of standard reports to get you started, with a range of flexible reporting tools and report writing options that allow you to configure the system to suit your reporting needs.

Active Drill Downs
Drill downs are most Time&Space® users' favorite reporting tool as they provide a dynamic, interactive interface that allows users to choose the type of data they want to see and drill down from level to level to zero-in on the information they need.

Simply choose what you want to review: projects, employees, customers, billing etc. and you are presented with a spreadsheet type view of data. Double click on a field to drill down

from high level totals to a summary, right down to the individual transactions themselves.

For example a project drill down displays a high level summary for each project. By double clicking on total hours you can drill down to a summary of employee hours for that project, double clicking on hours drills to that persons time on that project.

cells that you can drill down on, for example on a project you can drill down on hours, costs, charges, expenses and billing data.

Customizing Drill Downs
Drill Downs are incredibly customizable, you can add and remove columns, as well as

move them around. You can even create new fields and add these to your drill downs.

When you are viewing drill downs, you can groups data using Outlook style heading groupings simply by dragging the item you want to group by into the heading.

order by clicking on any heading, and filter by any combination of columns to find the project, employee, customer etc. that you are looking for, then drill down to the data beneath. You can even print the drill down data or export it to Excel.

Reporting too is incredibly configurable within Time&Space®. Choose from a wide range of standard reports or create your own with our Report Writer module using pre-built data views and "cubes" that make reporting easier.

You can even organize your reports within Time&Space®. You can attach icons or thumbnails as well as detailed descriptions to your reports, arrange them in groups and link them to security groups.

You can also attach reports to the Quick Access bar at the top of each screen.
